该设备由手动和气动分别实现闸门板(插板)作往复运动，由行程开关控制电机转动：闸门板由托辊支承，并采用锥形口进料，闸门]板不会被物料卡死、漏料，启开时也不致向外带料，闸门板运动自如，阻力小。
